DYKE NITE ST. PETE: CLUB CLASSICS

In July, I had the absolute pleasure of spinning at Dyke Nite St. Pete’s “Club Classics” party, and let me tell you, it was a vibe. The energy, the people, the whole atmosphere—it was one of those nights where everything just clicked.

The theme of the night was inspired by none other than Charli XCX’s Brat, so you already know it was going to be that bubbly pop mixed with euphoric techno. I worked closely with the organizers at Dyke Nite to really nail down the feel they wanted for the night. There’s nothing better than curating a set that’s tailor-made for the crowd—it’s so rewarding watching people lose themselves in the music. The energy was electric from the moment the doors opened until the last beat dropped.

For this set, I brought in my professional black DJ booth and smaller PA speakers to get a crowd of around 100 people dancing all night. Throughout the night, I acted as a sound technician for two other guest DJs before my set. I recorded my entire set to capture the moment for myself, Dyke Nite, and all of the attendees. So if you were there dancing your heart out or if you just want to relive the night, you’ll be able to vibe to the sounds all over again. The organizers and I thought it’d be a great way to make the night last beyond the party itself.

Dyke Nite St. Pete is a beautiful, inclusive space, and being part of their “Club Classics” party felt like a moment where music, community, and joy all came together. It’s nights like these that remind me why I love doing this—seeing people have a good time, creating those unforgettable moments, and just letting the music take over.
